Atmosphere:
Lola’s is quintessential café located at the top street of Long Street. It’s a real feel good café that epitomizes what a Cape Town café used to be. Street side tables, great grooving music and cokes being served in glass bottles. It feels like we’re living in Cape Town’s good ole days, only it’s now and the coffee is better. The inside is artsy and colourful with lights hanging from the roof and plants and paintings lining the walls.
Coffee & Food:
The coffee is good too, a decent Deluxe coffee served with loads of love in the form of latte art. Not feeling coffee? Well then, have a juice or feel like you’re in the 70s and have a Coco-Cola in a glass bottle. They’ve got wine and beers too, if you’re feeling especially thirsty. For breakfast, they’ve got a range of vegetarian wholesome meals with meat offered extra if you’re in need of protein. For lunch, they’ve got plenty vegetarian options in addition to some decadent meaty dishes. Some include the free-range chicken, coconut & lime laksa or the slow roasted pork pie. There are also brownies and croissants if you need a pairing for your coffee.
Pop into this classic Long Street Café to get a feel of what Cape Town is really about. There’s no views or fancy furniture but rather a good ole vibe with music and motivating madness.
