A Place to Reboot One’s Earthy Soul
Cut a rainbow in half and you’ll find this gemstone on the main road coming into Scarborough… I’m going to leave you to your feelings to find your way here.
Coffee in the trees, fit for the birds, bees and humans. The place boasts minimalism and plenty of good holistic vibes, I mean the owners name is Aura, how spot on can you be? There is plenty of outside space so that the taste and feel of the coffee can flow wildly through the trees and leaves, finally coming back to you with a difference. Inside it feels like a beach house with quaint tables that are fitted for space and comfort. I can feel the shadows of nature dancing embraced by that sundust sparkle.
“Don’t forget the love” is what I heard one of the customers saying, which in itself sets the intentions for what this place stands for.
Coffee & Food:
Tribe is the coffee used here and to be honest this cup is sitting on top of the many cups of tribe coffee I’ve had. Its taste hints at darkness with its strong and subtle bitterness emulsified with a certain sweetness, like an apricot, this is a dessert in a cup. OT the Barista and epic human says, “First and foremost is love, this is what it takes to make the perfect brew. If you have love, you have consistency and if you have consistency you have the perfect cup.”
The menu is full of options here, vegan, vegetarian with meat otions as well. Coffees, teas, juices, beers and wines. The pricing is pretty good with nothing on the menu over 100 smackaroos. Whole Earth Cafe has a little something-something for everyone. I can’t really fault this place because of all the beauty that fits in everything here, from the emptiness of a coffee cup to the smiles that are generated freely and naturally by the people that work here.
Remember to bring your own brew of love to add to the big bowl of love because if you’re an earthy man, you better give your heart a plan. Check out their Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/WholeEarthCafe/ or pop into Whole Earth Café on 257 Main Road, Scarborough for a handsome whole meal.
